Are you ready for a seriously styish London wedding? Complete with red bus, red telephone box and the cutest doggy page-boy you ever did see, Alex and Shaun got married at St Raphael’s Church in Kingston followed by their wedding reception at The Hurlingham Club in London. The fabulously fun day was captured by Clare Tam-Im.

Clare says: “This was such a stylish, beautiful, elegant wedding. I loved this wedding as Alex was a guest at a wedding of her friend’s that I shot a couple of years before and so it was like going back to seeing old friends. Everyone was just so warm and friendly, and despite the rain that hammered down on the bus ride over to the reception, it didn’t stop everyone having an amazing time. With hilarious (and embarrassing) speeches to a brass band surprising the guests that evening, it was just a jam packed day full of fun. Even their dog Louie made an appearance at the end of the ceremony to see his mummy and daddy get married!”

I love the traditional London touches and the timeless elegance of Alex and Shaun’s day. Now let’s hear from the bride, Alex.

How to Meet Russian Girls for Marriage in London

If you’re looking to meet a Russian girl in London, you’ve come to the right place. Expat Russians in the city is a hot commodity for British men. These women have a long history of living in England and are looking for men with similar values and morals. The city is also a hotbed for young, attractive male entrepreneurs. Here are some tips on how to meet a Russian girl in London.

First of all, it’s important to remember that Russian girls are mostly from well-off families, and they’re not necessarily more upscale. This doesn’t mean you should spend too much money. These ladies are generally very attractive and will make a great pair for a Canadian guy. Moreover, they’re polite and well-dressed, making them a great option for couples from Canada.

Aside from being a savvy shopper, you should also know the culture of Russian women. Compared to British girls, these girls are more likely to be bankers, lawyers, and designers. A good rule of thumb is to be as straight forward as possible and don’t skirt around the subject. A woman may be attracted to a man who is a little obnoxious, but she will not be offended if you come across as being more than okay.

If you’re looking for a Russian girl, you need to know that the Russian culture is still very traditional. Unlike in the West, women in Russia tend to settle down and become part of a family. They are traditionally more loyal to their partners and their families. This culture makes women more likely to remain loyal and devoted to their families. They also know how to spend time with their children and take care of the home.

Dating a Russian girl in London requires some patience and persistence

A good Russian lady will be independent and will have high standards. A man who can match her level of independence will be highly admired by her. Hence, it is important to have a clear idea of how to act in a relationship with a Russian woman in London. If you are a chivalrous man, you should try to keep her in your place.

If you are a noob, don’t let yourself be intimidated by the appearance of the Russian women. Many of them will be excited to meet you and even want to spend time with you. Despite their modest appearance, Russian girls in London are also very open to meeting people outside of their homes. It’s easy to meet a Russian woman in the park and it’s much easier than online dating.

The Meeting, and the Proposal!

“Shaun and I were friends for over 10 years. And at a friends wedding we realised our feelings for each other and so begun our journey …. ( very Monica and Chandler bing !) we began dating following the wedding and most of these special times were spent in and around Putney where Shaun was living. So it was only right he got down on one knee and proposed to me on Putney Embankment. We then flew to NYC the following day to celebrate the proposal and my 30th Birthday !

London Calling…

Shaun and I always wanted a London wedding. There was never any doubt. Whilst out walking our dog in our then local park we spotted The Hurlingham Club. We got in touch and for us it ticked every box !

What we loved most about The Hurlingham Club was that it had beautiful grounds overlooking the Thames in central London! We initially thought a venue like this would be “stuffy” however they couldn’t have been more relaxed and accommodating. Our wedding planner Anna was absolutely fantastic. They hold a lot of events so they’re extremely experienced.

Our Inspiration

“We sought a lot of advice from friends who got married. We also read a lot of blogs and followed suppliers on Instagram to get a feel of what we wanted. I also cannot rate Pinterest enough when planning a wedding. I’m a very visual person so this helped massively when pulling all my ideas together.”

Top tips

“The biggest tip I would give couples is to remember to take time on the day just you two to take it all in. The day comes and goes so quickly. This was advice given to us by our friends and I couldn’t agree more.”
